Special Projects

FHAS offers special projects that you can be apart of:

• Seven Days of Service
  FHAS partners with Wells Fargo Bank and students from UNO in the Annual Seven Days of Service, held during college spring break.  This venture provides college students an alternative during their spring break to volunteer in the rehabilitation of selected homes throughout the metropolitan area, which benefits low-income families pursuing the dream of homeownership.  In recent years, the partnership has broadened to include other lending institutions, local trade unions and the Omaha Housing Authority (OHA) in the volunteer, sponsorship and renovation of multiple homes throughout the metropolitan area.
  

• Brush-Up Nebraska (Paint-A-Thon)
  FHAS has participated in Brush-Up Nebraska (Paint-A-Thon) for several years, coordinating volunteers for paint projects of many homes in the metropolitan Omaha – Council Bluffs area.  Paint-A-Thon has been in existence for over 15 years.  For further information on Brush-up Nebraska (Paint-A-Thon) please see their web site at www.brushupnebraska.org.   
  

• Provide Assistance With Events
  FHAS hosts community events throughout the year that you can provide your assistance and talents to.
